Great Falls Bike Club's Belt Creek Road RaceWhile the race does attract 'serious racers' to earn points for the Montana Cup Points Series and the chance at a $500 cash purse, there are categories for novices as well. 'For those riders just looking to gauge their abilities, it's a great event to start out with,' says John Juras, the Club Member who is organizing the race. The five-mile time trial course begins at the Centerville Community Park, while the Road Race beginning at City Park in Belt with the distance dependent on category. Time Trial Stage at the Centerville community park. To locate Centerville, proceed east out of Great Falls on US 89 for 5 miles and turn right (south) on MT 227 for 5 miles to Centerville. Registration opens at 9:15 am. Race starts at 10:30 am. Start at 30 sec intervals in order of registration. Free lunch served to racers in Centerville. Road Race Stage at City Park in Belt, located 20 miles east of Great Falls. Registration reopens in Belt at 12:30 pm. All categories start at 1:30 pm. Awards after the race at Belt Creek Brew Pub in downtown Belt.
