Missouri River Outfitters, Inc.Nothing has changed much on the Scenic Upper Missouri since early explorers used it as the main waterway to the West. Twelve Lewis and Clark camp sites and old Indian camps and burial sites are part of the picture. The river served plains people as well as the voyagers who came to trade for beaver. Our trips are safe, relaxing, and quiet, yet provide exciting adventure for all ages. Depending upon the length of your trip, there are many spectacular hikes that can be taken by even the most novice of hikers. Overnight trips provide excellent meals, while one day cruisers enjoy coffee and rolls in the morning and a delicious lunch. The crew handles all camp chores but your helping hands are always welcome. All trips include meals, camping equipment, canvas wall tents and cots. Singles will have a tent to themselves; couples will share a tent. We take pride in our complete food service. You need only bring your personal gear. Some suggested personal gear are walking shoes, water shoes, sunscreen, warm coat, rain gear, flashlight, towels, soap, swim clothes, camera and lots of film, binoculars, bug repellent, water bottle and a small bag to keep items handy at all times. PACK LIGHTLY. April, September and October are often warm enough. June, July and August offer prime conditions. Dates you request will be considered for a tentative schedule. Once we reach a minimum of 8 guests, the trip is definite. You will be notified and at that time, a 35 percent deposit of the full fare is required. The balance is due 60 DAYS prior to departure. WE retain deposits if you cancel LESS than 60 DAYS prior to the trip. Full fare may be retained if your cancellation results in our having to run a trip with less than the minimum persons required. The river boats have a full top canopy with roll down side curtains. A galley area and a toilet are on board. We are well equipped for inclement weather. Gear storage is under the water proof seats. We recommend that you keep your gear to a MINIMUM. Soft duffel bags work best. Please do not bring rigid frame packs. Activities
