Havre Beneath the StreetsWe invite you to step back in time with us, as much as 100 years age, into the Sporting Eagle Saloon, a turn-of-the-century honk where cowboys gambled, kicked up their heels and drank good old-fashioned frontier rot-gut. Join us as we saunter along the streets beneath Havre and see an opium den (one of three known to have existed in the early days), a Chinese laundry, an ethnic restaurant, and of course, a bordello. See all of this and more and hear why the underground exists on the 'Havre Beneath the Streets' historical tour. Tours are available during summer months Monday - Sunday from 9:30am to 3:30pm. Weekends and evenings by appointment. Large group tours available upon request. Winter tours are available Monday - Saturday 10:30am to 2:30pm. Information may also be found at the Havre Chamber of Commerce, 518 1st Street. 265-4382. The Havre Railroad Museum offers a brief history of the railroad in Havre with complete model railroad trains running daily. An original hand cart and working block signal is on display. There is no charge to visit the railroad museum. Check out our gift shop. Browse our library reference room. Activities
